Lec

LEC is a UK manufacturer of refrigeration appliances which started in 1942 (originally known as Longford Engineering Company). The company grew out of a refrigeration system developed by founders Charles and Frank Purley designed to keep the stock of their fish shop fresh. It was renamed as Lec Refrigeration Ltd in 1954, and in 2005 became part of the Glen Dimplex Home Appliances group, alongside other brands such as Belling, New World and Stoves. Lec products include fridges, freezers, fridge freezers and also a range of retro-style appliances.
