Bosch DEM66AC00B Series 2 Integrated Cooker Hood, Silver, B Rated

If you’re looking for a discreet way to keep your kitchen free from excess steam and odour, then the Bosch Series 2 DEM66AC00B Integrated Hood is the ideal choice. Being an integrated cooker hood, it will be installed above your hob with a door attached to the front, so it blends in with the rest of your kitchen. This door will pull open the unit and once you’re done, it can be pushed back into place. This particular model has an extraction rate of 620m³/h so it can effortlessly remove steam from a medium-sized kitchen while you’re cooking. Using 3 different speed settings, you can control the extraction or recirculation speed. You can find the push buttons on the base of the hood, along with the LED light button. Using LEDs, the hob will be illuminated so you can see exactly what you’re doing, without using harsh and inefficient halogen bulbs. Complete with a 2-year part and labour guarantee, you can shop in confidence knowing your new purchase will be protected. The 2nd year is subject to registration within 30 days of delivery, however.

Recirculation and Extraction

This model is perfect for either recirculation or extraction. Extraction is typically the most desired option with steam and odours getting completely pulled out of the room to be vented outside. This provides an exceptionally clean kitchen area but does require a ducting kit to be fitted for external venting. This isn’t always an option for every home, depending on the layout of the kitchen. Recirculation is another option where charcoal filters are used. These draw in and filter out unwanted vapours and bad smells and redistribute the clean air back into kitchen once it has been filtered. All you’ll need to do is switch out the charcoal filters every few months to maintain the cooker hoods optimal performance. No venting kit needs to be installed for this option. Either option requires a metal grease filter which has already been installed into this appliance. They are removable, and simply need to be cleaned around once a month by hand or in the dishwasher. Grease filters filter grease and other solid food particles out of the extracted air and aid in cleaning your kitchen as clean as possible.
