Our Delivery Service
At Marks Electrical, we use our own fleet of vehicles to deliver throughout much of England. For the rest of England, the whole of Wales and parts of Scotland, we use the delivery company CDS to deliver orders.
- Deliveries over £100 to an English postcode are free.
- Deliveries to postcodes in Scotland and Wales are £29.99.
- There are a handful of British postcodes we don't deliver to - mostly rural or outlying areas.
- For all small items and hobs up to £400, we use the courier company DPD.
- There is a £6.99 charge for any delivery costing less than £100.
- We do not deliver to Northern Ireland at this time.
Standard Delivery is available on all products, whether they're in or out of stock. Just enter your postcode on a product page or at the checkout and you will be given a choice of dates.
Next Day Delivery
Next Day Delivery applies to products which are in stock only. You'll need to order before 6pm the night before. Enter your postcode into the postcode checker on a product page and if the option is available, you'll be given it. Due to high volumes of sales, we may not currently be able to offer next day delivery to all areas.
Not free during the week? We deliver on Saturday and Sunday. Just enter your postcode into any postcode checker on a product page to see if the option is available to you.
We'll give you a 2 hour timeslot for your delivery, so you won't have to wait in all day.
To keep our prices as competitive as possible, our standard deliveries are made by one man only. Our driver will wheel your product into an unobstructed ground floor room of your choice. As a result we only offer our standard delivery service to ground floor properties and blocks of flats with a lift, (providing the appliance will fit. Please call us if this affects your order as undelivered products caused by this problem will incur a redelivery charge. Please refer to our Delivery Guide for a list of additional factors you need to consider when arranging delivery.
Two Man Delivery
If your delivery is not to an unobstructed ground floor area, then we can provide a two-man delivery service, but at a premium of £29.99. For a general guide on the kind of delivery you will need, please refer to the table below. If you are still unsure then feel free to call us on 0116 2 514 513.

For American fridge freezers, range cookers and other large items, a two man delivery is often strongly recommended. Watch the videos below to help you decide whether a one man delivery will suffice, or whether you need our two man delivery service.

Non-Billing Address Deliveries
When you request delivery to an address other than your billing address we may undertake additional security checks on your payment before accepting the order. This is part of our standard security procedure to help protect you against fraudulent misuse of your credit/debit card details. In some circumstances this may result in your order being delayed, therefore if possible we suggest that you arrange delivery to the billing address instead.
Arranging a Delivery Date
Items which we hold in stock will usually be delivered to you within a few working days - often the following day. You will be able to choose your delivery date just before you pay for your order.
Items which we have to order from the manufacturer will take longer to deliver; typically 6-12 working days depending on the particular product. You can track your order status on our website; when the Track Order page shows your items are in stock please call us to arrange delivery, otherwise we will send you an email/SMS when your items are ready for delivery.
Our standard deliveries are made between the hours of 7am and 6pm, 7 days a week. A signature will be required upon delivery.
You will be notified of your 2-hour delivery timeslot by email and SMS between 7pm and 8pm the day before delivery. As we operate a rapid next day delivery service, we will be unable to notify you of your timeslot any earlier than this because our automated route planning system will be planning the delivery routes up until this time.
This means that you cannot choose/change your delivery timeslot, and once issued you must be available to accept delivery. Please ensure that you can be available all day on the date you select; if you subsequently find you cannot keep to your chosen delivery date you must notify us before 12 noon one working day before otherwise failed delivery or redelivery charges will apply (see below).
Failed Delivery Charges
Where a pre-arranged agreed day has been given for delivery and we are prevented from delivering the goods due to there being no one at the address, or we are unable to make the delivery for other reasons such as those mentioned above, you may be liable to pay a failed delivery charge. This also applies if you cancel a delivery after the goods have been loaded onto the van for delivery to you. Details of failed delivery charges are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Old Product Collection
For a fee of £19.99 we can remove your old appliance when we deliver your new one. The old appliance must be disconnected and outside your property at time of delivery.
