Like most modern washing machines, this one is cold fill only. Some older washers also have a hot water intake, but in reality, little hot water ever gets into these machines on most washes. This is because hot water cools rapidly in household water pipes, and by the time it starts to run hot the washing machine has almost finished filling. This is particularly true nowadays because modern washing machines use a lot less water than ever before.
6Motion Direct Drive
The improved 6Motion Direct Drive™ moves the drum in different directions for optimal fabric care. In addition to controlling spin speed and having left and right drum rotation, the system has six types of motions: rubbing, agitating, compressing, rotating, swing and PowerMotion (FL). With the 6 Motion Direct Drive™, your laundry will get a thorough wash without the wrinkles and damage.
Inverter Direct Drive™
The Inverter Direct Drive Motor™ eliminated the traditional belt and pulley system, which means fewer moving parts. Fewer moving parts means less wear and tear, making our LG washing machines much more durable. It is backed by a 10-year warranty.
Steam™
LG Steam™ loosens allergens found in fabrics, which are then drained out during the rinse and spin cycles, reducing allergens on your clothing and bedding.
