Model NT-SWITCH-BK-DO PRF0189241. An 83cm black glass induction hob featuring a built-in extraction system with duct-out configuration. Elica's first extraction hob with a completely invisible suction system that activates with a simple switch, combining modern style with high performance.
Cooking Surface and Extraction Design
The linear cooking surface hides a powerful extraction system beneath, allowing freedom of movement with pots while maintaining the easy cleaning advantages of traditional induction hobs. Airmatic technology automatically adjusts extraction speed to optimise power consumption and performance. The control interface features a specific slider for each zone and remains totally invisible in standby mode for a discreet, elegant appearance.
Maintenance and Hygiene
Grease filters can be removed from the top without effort, and the inner part is easily accessible for cleaning in case of accidental spills. A special valve allows discharge of any spilled liquid to ensure maximum kitchen hygiene.
Cooking Zones and Bridge Function
This model includes 2 bridge zones that allow you to merge 2 adjacent cooking zones for flexible cookware placement.
Cooking Functions and Controls
- Pot Detector: detects pots on the cooking area and provides heat only when correctly positioned
- Temperature Manager: set the hob to 3 programmes (42, 72 or 92 degrees) optimised for delicate cooking such as mousses and sauces, as well as high-temperature cooking like boiling
- Warming Mode: keeps cooked dishes warm, reheats cold dishes, and is ideal for heating liquids such as milk, broth, creams and sauces
- Timer: set minutes and the cooking zone automatically switches off with a beeper alert
- Stop & Go: switch off all cooking zones with a single touch
- Pause & Recall: switch off the hob with one gesture and restart with a simple button press
Safety and Convenience Features
- Child Lock: prevents cooking zones or extraction from being turned on accidentally
- Delay Switch Off: keeps the hood running after cooking to remove stubborn odours
