Smeg induction hob SI2M5643D1 makes your cooking easier by offering comfortable features for your everyday cooking or when you want to test new exciting recipes. The modern hob has 4 cooking zones with booster function, 17 power levels, timer and other smart features.

Cooking with induction

Induction is a modern cooking method that uses electrical induction instead of traditional heating elements. The heat is only generated at the bottom of the vessel and the surface of an induction hob remains cool and can be touched during the cooking process. This reduces heat loss and makes cooking more energy efficient.

Cook zones

This hob has 4 cooking zones with booster function for immediate heat, so that your cooking goes faster.

17 power levels

This induction hob has 17 power levels so you can choose the heat intensity based on your needs

Easy cleaning

You can easily wipe the surface of the induction hob when removing boilers and pots.

Automatic boiler recognition

With automatic boiler recognition you just need to place your saucepan on the cooker and the hob will find the matching area automatically.

Timer

Each zone has a timer that automatically turns off the zone after the selected time setting and informs you that your meal is complete.

Kitchen-ware

When cooking on an induction hob, you must have saucepans and frying pans with a bottom in ferromagnetic metal as stainless steel. This is controlled by placing a regular magnet on the bottom of the saucepan - if it gets stuck, the saucepan works to use on the induction hob.

Induction hobs can be installed either flush or surface mounted. We are only able to install surface mounted hobs unless the worktop cut-out has already been prepared as per the example image below. If you're buying a replacement, it's likely you already have this in place.
