This washing machine achieves the best energy class A rating. By using energy-saving home appliances, you save valuable resources. The energy label specifies the efficiency class, noise level, capacity, energy and water consumption of the appliance. The new efficiency class is now rated from A to G for washing machines. Thanks to a high efficiency energy saving system, this Bosch model delivers excellent results without compromising on performance.
Speed Perfect: Wash Up to 65% Faster
The Speed Perfect function cuts washing time by up to 65% without compromising results. It can be used in combination with most programmes, and with all load sizes and fabric types. For example, you can select the mixed programme along with Speed Perfect to thoroughly wash up to four kilograms of clothes in just 46 minutes.
AntiStain Removal System
The AntiStain Removal system tackles four stubborn types of stain with ease. It automatically adjusts the temperature, drum movement and soaking time to remove up to four of the most stubborn stains fully automatically, including butter or oil, grass, red wine and blood stains.
Iron Assist: Reduce Wrinkles and Ironing Time
Iron Assist gently steams freshly washed and dried items in just 20 minutes, and can also reduce wrinkles on previously worn clothing. Simply place items in the machine and let Iron Assist do the rest. It reduces wrinkles up to 50%, helping to reduce your ironing pile.
ActiveWater Plus Technology
ActiveWater Plus delivers perfect results while using only the precise amount of water needed for every wash. The type and size of load is automatically detected and water consumption is precisely adjusted accordingly. This ensures highly efficient use of water even when washing smaller loads, allowing you to save up to 50% of water when washing smaller loads.
Reload Function
The Reload function lets you easily add or remove clothes during wash cycles. Simply press the Reload button and open the door to add forgotten items and continue the wash. As a safety feature, Reload cannot be used if the suds are hotter than 50°C or the water level is too high.
EcoSilence Drive™
The EcoSilence Drive™ is exceptionally quiet, so you might forget the washing machine is even on.
Hygiene Plus Programme
The Hygiene Plus programme keeps the temperature during the wash cycle constant and adds an additional rinse cycle to ensure hygienically clean laundry. It effectively kills 99.99% of common germs even at 40°C, making it ideal for hygienic washing results.
VarioDrum System
The unique, patented VarioDrum system uses even water distribution to gently and efficiently wash all types of clothing without stretching, creasing or damaging delicate items. Depending on the selected programme, the droplet-shaped design with asymmetrical paddles gently rotates your laundry to the centre regardless of rotation direction. This ensures an intensive clean for more heavily soiled clothes and a quicker, more thorough clean for the entire load.

Like most modern washing machines, this one is cold fill only. Some older washers also have a hot water intake, but in reality, little hot water ever gets into these machines on most washes. This is because hot water cools rapidly in household water pipes, and by the time it starts to run hot the washing machine has almost finished filling. This is particularly true nowadays because modern washing machines use a lot less water than ever before.
