13 Amp Plug & Play Hob
Designed to house a 13 Amp plug, so can be used with a regular socket without the need for hard wiring.
Power Management System
This hob uses a power management system to ensure that the maximum power input of 3000 watts is not exceeded at any time. In practice, this means that the sum of the power levels on all four zones cannot add up to more than 12. For example, if one zone is in use at power level 8, and then a second zone is put on at power level 7 (trying to make 8+7=15), then the power level of the first zone will be automatically reduced to power level 5 (so that 5+7=12). If needing to use all 4 zones, it is best to bring each pan to the boil one at a time, before reducing the pans to a simmer.
Nine Power Levels and Hob Timer
The hob features nine power levels and includes a cook-to-off timer function. Simply tell it when to stop and you'll never overcook a meal again.
Induction Cooking Technology
Induction works by creating an individual heating element inside each pan. When a pan is placed on an induction hob, it completes a magnetic circuit below the hob's surface, which creates energy within the pan's base and heats the pan. As the heat only heats the pan and not the zoned area, no energy is wasted. Most pans with a metal ferrous base will work on induction; if a magnet connects to the base of your pan, it will work on an induction appliance.
Difficult tasks like melting chocolate directly in the pan and delicate sauces are made easy with outstanding low-heat performance. Induction is nearly twice as fast as a gas hob and 30% faster than ceramic. Induction cooking doesn't lose any heat through convection, so it's 30% more efficient than a gas hob and 25% more than a ceramic hob.
Induction Features
Intuitive technology means you can pause, recall your last temperature or even programme when your hob turns off, helping you to achieve perfect results. You have the option of power boost which draws additional power when required – perfect for wok cooking. The hob will not function unless a suitable pan is placed on the zone and if left unattended for a long period all cookzones will automatically turn off. Residual Heat Indicator
Hot lights stay on to let you know that the surface is still too hot to touch so you can safely wipe away spills.
Digital Touch Controls
Touch controls are easy to use and help make cleaning the hob easier. The controls can be locked so they can't accidentally be switched on or changed when set.

Induction Hobs
Induction hobs can be installed either flush or surface mounted. We are only able to install surface mounted hobs unless the worktop cut-out has already been prepared as per the example image below. If you're buying a replacement, it's likely you already have this in place.
