Steam Refresh Cycle
Steaming instead of washing is one of the best ways to refresh clothes that do not need a full wash. The Steam Refresh cycle neutralises odours and reduces wrinkles on garments, including delicates, in just 25 minutes, consuming only 2L of water per cycle and being kinder to clothes. External tests show neutralisation of cigarette smoke odour in a Steam Refresh cycle. For an extra boost of freshness, you can add aromatic steam fragrance to give clothes that just washed freshness.
MixLoad 69 min Programme
The MixLoad 69 min programme adjusts energy usage based on load weight when cleaning daily mixed loads. It washes clothes at 30°C in just 69 minutes, achieving optimal performance and outstanding cleaning results.
PreciseWash Technology
ProSense+ automatically adapts the energy usage and settings depending on the weight of the laundry load, giving you customised laundry cycles. PreciseWash reduces up to 40% of time, water and energy by optimising every load. Internal testing for a 30°C Cotton cycle optimized with PreciseWash shows a 40% reduction in time, water and energy consumption for 1kg loads compared to maximum load.
Care Drum Pattern
The smooth Care drum pattern is even gentler on your fabrics. The Care drum lets garments glide smoothly thanks to its elevated cushion-like drum pattern and optimised lifter paddle. A thin film of water covers the holes during washing, providing your fabrics with an even gentler laundry experience. This is based on internal tests comparing the Care drum to the AEG ProTex drum.
Hygiene Programme
The Hygiene programme, certified by Swissatest, is a high-performance wash cycle that removes more than 99.99% of bacteria and viruses from clothes. Testing covered Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecium, Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and MS2 Bacteriophage in external tests performed by Swissatest Testmaterialien AG in 2021 (Test Report No. 202120117). By keeping your wash temperature above 60°C, you can also reduce allergens.

Like most modern washing machines, this one is cold fill only. Some older washers also have a hot water intake, but in reality, little hot water ever gets into these machines on most washes. This is because hot water cools rapidly in household water pipes, and by the time it starts to run hot the washing machine has almost finished filling. This is particularly true nowadays because modern washing machines use a lot less water than ever before.
